I don't go stealth because I'm ashamed of what and who I am. It's not because I'm frightened of some one saying something. I do it so as I'm treated like a lady. I like it when men open doors for me and smile at me. And in return I treat them like gentlemen. works for me big time. Oh how I love being a woman.

I did my own research and took it to my GP. I told him what I wanted and what dose. He then wrote me the scripts for what I asked for. But when I decided to get a implant he had no idea and so I had to find the local trans doctor and start jumping through their hoops. psychiatrist gynecologist. One might nearly say it is a drag. But hay it is totally worth it. Who cares how you get it just as long as we get it. Hormones that is not the other thing.

Good pic and good point.

In a discussion at Bilerico one opponent of the eord claimed it was offensive cause it originally meant transvestite.

I blogged about my thoughts on this here: http://caveofrationality.blogspot.com/2010/03/is-calling-tranny-offensive-word.html

Absolutely. He wasn't the first anything. And if you read the original article he wrote for The Advocate, he never claimed to be the first. The media just assumed that he was first because they'd never heard of it before. Beyond that first article the media coverage was never truly in his control, and The World's First Pregnant Man was a label that the media thrust upon him without asking him first.

The same thing happened to Christine Jorgensen in the 1950s, when the media said that she'd had The First Sex Change Operation although she wasn't first, not by twenty years or so.

I don't think it's fair to blame Thomas or Christine for the collective ignorance of a thousand journalists.

My biggest issue with Thomas Beatie is that he ISN'T the first pregnant trans guy. He isn't the first one to go public, either.
